Of course, not all of them originate from Thailand; however, they were adapted to the taste of locals and now have become an inherent part of Thai cuisine!

Tom Yam Goong is an iconic national Thai dish. Broth and coconut milk are oftentimes used as the soup base, with the addition of some other ingredients: garlic, chili pepper, fresh galangal, magnolia vine leaves, royal shrimp, fresh ginger, Thai fish sauce and sesame oil. But be careful if you have decided to taste Tom Yam. Due to its sharpness and spiciness it isn’t recommended for everyone: make sure your stomach can handle the strong flavor!
Hoy Tod is another very popular and extremely Thai dish, made of oysters lightly coated in rice flour and stir fried with eggs, bean sprouts, fish sauce, chili and scallion. Usually, you can choose whether your Hoy Toy will be with crispy or soft dough. Instead of oysters you can ask for mussels, as they are prepared almost similarly, and served with sweet chili sauce.
Khao soi is a dish of the northern region of Thailand. You cannot miss trying it if you are in Chiang Mai. It is made with egg noodles in a creamy curry broth. The broth ingredients include coconut milk, spices and chicken. A bowl of hearty khao soi is topped with crispy noodles, shallots and lime wedges.
Though it is originally a Northern dish, Khao Soi is also available in Bangkok and other parts of Thailand.
This dish isn’t often mentioned in travel blogs and TV programs, since sticky rice is is usually sold in Thai markets beginning in the early morning, and by 8 a.m. it is almost all gone. Sticky rice consists of sticky sweet rice watered with coconut milk with addition of pieces of fresh mango.
Spring rolls are Thai snacks made from rice paper, rice noodles, vegetables and sauce. The filling can be different, but the most common are with shrimp, chicken or vegetables. Fried spring rolls are served with hot, sweet sauce.
